Hi, Next week I will be receiving a wireless Kensington trackball that I want to start using. I'll need to disconnect my current wireless Logitech mouse. I've learned the hard way that you shouldn't just pull the old receiver out of the USB port and plug in the new receiver and wha-la expect that all will be good. Last time I did that my cursor got frozen on the screen to the point where I was simply unable to unstick the damn thing. Everything I tried failed to get the cursor moving freely again. I had no choice but to reinstall Windows. That solved the problem. Not that big a deal for me cuz my computer is very lean and I can reinstall my programs quite fast. Anyway, what is a safe procedure for me to use to disconnect the current Logitech and connect my new Kensington? Just head into Device Manager and look for the Logitech and uninstall? Should I then reboot before plugging in the new receiver? Please Help. Thanks, for more you can check: Corporate Advertising
