I know it's come up in the introductory threads, but I'm curious when everyone started shipping/realized they were shipping CS?
I think I came around a little later than everyone else. My previous fandom (Stargate) gave me some serious trust issues with Sam/Jack (the flagship ship that took ALL TEN SEASONS to get together, and when the finally did, it was off camera) and the Sheyla/Sparky love triangle (which was that fandom's equivalent of CS/Swanfire, only neither ship actually went canon).
So, trust issues, to say the least.
I started watching sometime during the second season (marathoned the first season on Netflix, caught up on Hulu). Loved Colin instantly, but with A&E's track record of dangling attractive men in front of us only to write them out after a few episodes, I assumed he was just the next flavor of the week, especially when he disappeared after New York. (I wasn't involved in online fandom, so I didn't know what had happened to Colin IRL). I kind of crack shipped them in Neverland, after the kiss, but I finally accepted that I was 100% for CS endgame during 3B. Probably somewhere around the line about "If your heart can be broken, it means it still works". (I know, I have a thick skull. But again, trust issues).
When everyone else finally accepted their shipper fate?

I shipped them on the bean stalk, and then Killian (colin IRL issues) disappeared and I was tentative and actually stopped watching. I started watching it again, and when he turned his ship around at the end of season 2, my fangirl heart squeed.
I totally get what you are saying about A&E dangling hot men in front of us, and Emma (cough cough, Graham) and taking them away. I marathon'd season 2 and season 3 in preparation for season 4, and their love story was so quick for me. But I remind myself that its been 2 years in the making. I've watched season 3 a few times, because, between Neverland and Snow Drifts/No Place Like Home its so much glorious Captain Swan. And this season has basically been Captain Swan, *sigh* I'm rambling..
Anyway, I've been a hopeful shipper since the bean stalk, and completely invested since the Neverland Kiss.

I was just a general fan of OUAT from the beginning, even the kiss left me a little bit oh how interesting but not invested in the ship at all.
I mainly watched for the villians because Regina and Rumple had so much glee in their acting that I loved. Neverland was pretty boring for me to start with and they nearly lost me as a viewer and then Killian gave his "...and I will win it." speech to Emma. And that completely tipped me into the fandom life on tumblr because I went searching on the internet for others reactions to that speech. I knew of tumblr beforehand but mainly when I was looking for hipster stuff, you know decor and fashion and no idea how people even used tumblr so I was clueless how much it could suck you in like it does.

HA, this is where I'm at. Once I realized I was in it for the CS, I got on Tumblr. I still have no clue what I'm doing. And I agree, I totally agree on Rumple and Regina, Bobby and Lana look like they're having a blast with their roles. Then Colin and Jen had to show up and steal my fangirlish heart. The nerve.

I started shipping since "Tallahassee", I had already opened a Tumblr blog by that time but I wasn't really using it (I also started without a clue about what to do with Tumblr xD) and I have been on the CS tag for that long... it's been really tough though, we've gotten hate since day one, we've been called delusional and a lot of other awesome things :/ but it has also been really great!! Seeing my babies falling in love in real time has been such an awesome ride, I personally think this is the most beautiful and epic love story I've ever seen in a TV show And I also started watching OUAT from the beginning, but I wasn't really involved in fandom at all until Killian Jones appeared on our screens, and Captain Swan stole my heart from the moment Killian said "I was hoping it'd be you" LOL. I also discovered the "CS theme" the first time it played in Tallahassee ( the post here) so each time it plays again I get even more giddy, LOL.

I'm a little jealous of those that watching in real time and kinda got to fall in love with them slowly(ish). I think the feels are so much stronger when you follow a story like that, rather than getting it pretty much all at once like I did. (I'm the same with Harry Potter. I didn't grow up with it and really didn't read any of it until the last book came out, so my emotions are more removed than those of my friends who practically lived it.)
